Obituary of Barbara Ferrigno

Barbara (Burtram) Ferrigno, 87, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Frank J. Ferrigno, died Monday December 1, 2014 at home. Born August 28, 1927 in Springville, Alabama, daughter of the late Kenny and Emma (Davies) Burtram, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1962. She worked for the State of Connecticut for 25 years retiring as an Administrative Secretary in the Department of Education 20 years ago. Barbara graduated from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter Anna M. Ferrigno of Cambridge, MA, a son Frank J. Ferrigno of New York City, a brother Roderick Burtram of Springville, AL and three granddaughters, Nina M. Ward of Arlington, VA, Vanessa F. Ward and Angela F. Ward both of Cambridge, MA. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, George, Jack, Karl and Joseph Burtram. The Ferrigno family would like to thank the staff at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center and the Hospice section of the VNA HealthCare Services. Funeral and burial will be private.
