Ludy, Al, Shawn, Kyle, Jacob and Family, My deepest sympathy to you and your family as you face this very difficult time. Ludy, I know how special your father was to you and that you cherished all of your time with him. You all have such great memories that will stay with each of you forever and will keep his spirit and life alive for years to come. Sorry that I can not be there for you, but please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Family of Bill Graus, For many of us in Portland and Glastonbury, we owe a debt of gratitude to Bill. Having worked in the tobacco fields for many years, we learned hard work, teamwork, and comradary. The supervisors became our friends and mentors. As young people you all played a vital role in the development of each and everyone of us. Thank you for your patience and dedication in molding us into the adults we are today. Your moral values are instilled in many of us and will keep you alive in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

To Kyle and his family - I'm so sorry for your loss. Kyle, it was so heartwarming to hear about your family history and how close you all are. I'm so glad that Grandpa Graus was able to be at your wedding. I was touched when you and Andrea were each dancing with a grandparent so that they could participate in and win the anniversary dance! Cherish happy memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. The picture of Bill is appropriate, He always had a smile on his face.He was also one of the hardest workers Ive ever met.He retired from the Board for about a week before he came back as a Sub.I would tell him to slow down and he would say" don't worry about me I'm fine". I told him I wasn't worried about him, I felt bad for kids who couldn't keep up to him. May the memories of a life well lived comfort you. John Welch
