Obituary of Janice Pascucci

Janice (DiGiovanni) Pascucci, 63, loving wife of Frank Pascucci, passed away at her home in Cromwell on June 29, 2011 with her family by her side. Jan was born on October 29, 1947 in Hartford, CT to John DiGiovanni and Lucy (Klimas) DiGiovanni of Glastonbury. She was a phenomenal daughter to her parents, providing care and guidance to their daily needs, making sure they always had everything they needed. Jan's exceptional dedication to family showed her strength and made everyone stronger. She loved to travel with her husband and sister since she was forever curious about the world, she loved her garden and the many opportunities to find more plants to add to provide beauty to her home. She loved assisting the elderly including her parents, and many aunts when they needed help. Jan loved to help her sisters with projects, and took an active role in the lives of her nieces and nephews. In between, she loved music and attended many concerts and plays, loved to read, go sailing and kayaking with her husband. Jan never missed a moment to find something to do that would improve someone else's life. She will be dearly missed by every single person she has touched. Jan graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1965, Central Connecticut State College in 1969 with a Bachelor Degree and 1975 with a Master of Science degree. She taught first grade at Hebron Avenue School in Glastonbury for 35 years and touched the lives of hundreds of children who she taught to read, write, and respect one another. In addition to her husband Frank, and parents John and Lucy DiGiovanni, she is survived by sister Elaine Farrell and husband Joe of Mechanicsburg, PA; sister Linda Bristol and husband Warren of Colchester; brother David DiGiovanni of Manchester; nieces Katie DiGiovanni and Shannon (Bristol) Milton and husband Nick; nephews Craig DiGiovanni, and Keith Bristol and wife Megan and daughter Emma. She leaves so many close friends and other cousins, aunts and uncles. Jan wanted her family to extend thanks to the wonderful care provided by Dr. Patricia DeFusco and staff at Connecticut Multispecialty Infusion Center in Wethersfield, and the phenomenal service by the Visiting Nurse Association, in particular Eve Fruin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 2, at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday July 1 from 5-7pm. To share a memory please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
